ABSTRACT

The performance of compressor, which is the major component of gas turbine, has an obvious effect on the function of the machine. But at the moment when compressor was used, the trend of performance degradation was on the way. Many factors could lead to degradation, such as the environment, the design and the use et al. The degradation pattern could be concluded as fouling, tip clearance increase, abrasion and cauterization et al results show that the 70%–85% performance degradation is caused by fouling. Fortunately the fouling could be washed to recover the performance of compressor in some degree (X. He, 2010, Z. Li, 2011).
