ABSTRACT
The structures of 1000 kV arrester include two kinds, one have four parts while the other is five parts. According to the demand from SGCC the 1000 kV Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC Demonstration Project Electric Installation Commissioning Test Standard, the continuous operating current of 1000 kV arrester is no more than 20 mA, and the continuous operating voltage can reach to 638 kV, and all phases test requires much to step-up installations. Even test part by part,
1 INTRODUCTION
The 1000 kV Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC Demonstration Project, which is an initial step project to develop ultra-high voltage transmission and distribution technology in China. As the pioneer there are neither standards available to apply immediately, nor comprehensive and mature technology and experience to draw lessons from. So installations used in the 1000 kV UHV transforming project field are demanded for high voltage and large capacity, more than these, the field commissioning test are much more difficult to take and requires technology much higher than routine high voltage project.
