A voltage stability index based on local branch measurement with good characteristics

A new branch-based voltage stability index is proposed, which is derived from the real solution condition of the quadratic equation about sending voltage, and two test systems is designed for comparative analysis with the indices in Reference [8-11]. Point out the limitations of indices in Reference [8-9], validates the good characteristics of the index proposed in this paper.
