ABSTRACT

Semiconductors took the task of developing and producing solar panel for the “Shijian-8 satellite”, and researchers found that P+/N monolithic silicon solar cells would encounter electronic radiation when running in the space, which caused the energy of solar cells to decline and made it that solar cells couldn’t work for a long time. In 1969, the Institute of Semiconductors stopped studying Silicon solar cells and turned to research satellite irradiation effects created by silicon solar, and they discovered that NP junction silicon solar cell was dozens of times stronger than PN junction silicon cells in the ability of anti-electron irradiation,which was one of the greatest innovations in the technology of solar cells in our country.
