The purpose of state estimation is to acquire state variables by measurements. There is error between the measurement and its true value as follows

1 INTRODUCTION
State estimation plays a very important role in the monitoring and control of power systems. It provides accurate data obtained by processing the less accurate and incomplete network data for several online power system studies such as dispatcher power flow, and security analysis. Several methods have been presented since state estimation was introduced in power systems. Among them, the predominant approach is the Weighted Least Squares (WLS) method (Holten et al. 1988).
