ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Clinical practice of medicine is a bridge to combine the medical theory with the practice. Interests play an essential role in their future sustainable development in clinical work. To mobilize the students’ initiative and stimulate their interests, improve their abilities in their professional work and the enthusiasm in their profession during the clinical practice, the authors recently adopted a case-based learning mode in our practical teaching work and have achieved a good teaching result. In this paper, the methods, process and roles of case-based learning model in the orthopedic practice of graduates are discussed. Eects of case-based learning on realizing the objective to culture the comprehensive ability in the clinical practical teaching of orthopedic graduates should be more pronounced. By using the case-based learning model, the independent thinking, problem-solving skills of students can be trained well, and the students’ learning initiative and enthusiasm can be mobilized.
