ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: In this article, performance of a single cell as a microreactor was studied by microchip capillary electrophoresis with Laser-Induced Fluorescence (LIF) detector. The reaction of FITC and amino acids was chosen as the analysis model system. Three amino acids with positive, neutral, and negative charge, respectively, and FITC were mediated into cells through liposome. Reaction of amino acids and FITC in single cell and in flask at various times were detected, respectively. It was observed that both the reaction speed and eciency of the cells are much higher than in conventional reactor.
