ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Schisandra chinensis contains schisandrin, deoxyschisandrin, r-schisandrin, and other active substances, which have many medical functions such as neuroprotective eects, anticancer function, etc. This study, using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method, determined the contents of three active ingredients, established an Evaluation of Uncertainty factor mathematical model for HPLC method detecting these three active contents in Schisandra, and fully analyzed the uncertainty sources in the measurement process. Then, uncertainty was evaluated and calculated. The results showed that when the sample amount was 2.00 mg the determination of schisandrin and deoxyshisandrin in Schisandra shows a good linear relationship. In conclusion, the method developed using high-performance liquid chromatography in this study is suitable for uncertainty factors’ assessment in the determination of schisandrin, deoxyshisandrin, and r-schisandrin in Schisandra. This study lays the foundation to testify the quality of Schisandra chinensis using an international union standard.
