ABSTRACT
When the generators transmit power through HVDC, subsynchronous oscillation problems will be caused in the shafting and threaten the shafting security. In order to control SSO caused by DC transmission, SSDC as the current repressive measures in the grid side, will be equipped in the HVDC rectifier side in China. However, in some practical engineering, SSDC has a problem in that it is unable to start and cannot produce an inhibition effect, so it is necessary to research the design and inhibiting ability of SSDC.
