ABSTRACT

Methods of optical Hilbert-filtration of phase disturbances of the light field in the spectral range of source emission, such as, the evolution of complimentary vortex rings induced in an air medium by a pressure pulse on the hole in the combuster wall with application of the Hilbert-optics methods. The Hilbert diagnostics of flow based on visualization of space-time phase disturbances induced in the light field by the flow passing through the examined medium has a high potential of development and application. Though the theoretical and experimental details of the Hilbert-optics have been discussed in many publications, its potential is far from being exhausted. The Hilbertfiltration allows one to visualize the structure of the phase optical density in a wide dynamic range. The optical measuring complex was created on the basis of the IAB-463M shadowgraph in which the optical Hilbert-filtration module and a source of illumination were specially developed for the experiment.
