ABSTRACT

The coal quality detection is an integral part of the fuel management, and the coal quality and the economic benefit of power plants depend on coal detection results. Based on the idea of object-oriented analysis and design, the requirements analysis model for a Coal Quality Detection Management System (CQDMS) is established by using the Unified Modeling Language. However, some shortcomings exist in most coal quality detection management processes, such as non-fully networked, non-standard operation, heavy workload, and low data reliability. In the laboratory, all detection instruments are connected with CQDMS via a network, and all the measurement data from each detection instrument are collected and updated in the database automatically in real-time. The key to develop CQDMS is the process of analysis, design, and modeling, and it is important to improve the quality, reliability, and reusability of the software and to shorten the software development cycle.
