ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the method for the design of regulators for an object, containing one or several consecutive integrators in addition to other elements. The method provides stable a static control with small overshooting and minimal power consumption, which is specified as square of controlling signal. The most effective energy savings take place in the case where the object contains an integration link in its model. Numerical optimization methods allow simulating of the whole system by changing the parameters of the regulator. As a result of optimization such parameters are found to give the minimum value of a positively definite cost function, which is a criterion of optimality. Some changes of the cost function allow success executing of the optimization of regulator in those cases where optimization procedure cannot be successfully completed without such changes, for example, due to an unlimited increase of one of the signals in the system.
