ABSTRACT
Drive test includes a vehicle, a laptop, measuring software and a modem. This chapter discusses some important equations for drive test and introduces several new field test methods and compared them with the existing ones. It shows that methods are time and cost effective in all cellular mobile networks and are applicable in WIMAX networks. Only one measurement is accomplished in each window in practical method, but the test takes too long time in the big cities like Tehran because of the too many windows. After windowing the coverage area and determining the coordinates of the center of them, regulator asks the contractor to measure the coverage on the border of a region while testing. Regulations may provide these paths and dictate them to the contractor.
