ABSTRACT

This chapter identifies the relationship between project characteristics, pre-construction planning, construction execution, and project performance. The electrical market has been highly competitive since electrical construction requires more sophisticated and complex work with the scientific and technological advances. Good planning that establishes systems that can be used to properly manage the problems during the execution stage can improve the chances of achieving a successful outcome. The electrical market has been highly competitive since electrical construction requires more sophisticated and complex work with the scientific and technological advances. Electrical contractors are subcontracted by the general contractor with their specialized skills. By its very nature, electrical construction industry is uncertain and competitive. The electrical construction requires more systematic and effective project management strategy to achieve desired goals. As a result, it is significant to investigate the relationship between project characteristics, pre-construction planning, project execution, and project performance.
