ABSTRACT
The Phoenix Scientific in California uses laser and radar testing technology to detect the 3D pavement information. By measuring the reflecting time from the laser to the reflector, the system establishes the 3D model moving longitudinally along the driving direction of vehicles. However, the system can only provide the location and severity of the cracks, not more details (Mei 2001).
