ABSTRACT

Recently, many domestic and overseas scholars do a lot of researches of pressure-equalizing groove, which can suppress the pressure attenuation far away from the orifice and improves the bearing capacity of static pressure aerostatic thrust bearing (Du, J.J. & G.Q. Zhang 2012). For example, M. M. Khonsari from Louisiana State University built a model of screw-type pressure-equalizing groove and optimized the structure parameters of groove profile in 2012. But the study of the pressure-equalizing groove distribution is rarely reported (Guo, L.B. 2007). Domestic institutes and researchers study the bearing characteristics of aerostatic thrust bearing in different parameters of perturbation method and flow continuity equation. It cannot reflect the influence of a single parameter to the bearing (Kazimierski, Z. & J. Trojnarski 1980). The CDF calculation software was used to simulate gas-lubricated aerostatic thrust bearing under different distribution of pressure-equalizing groove, meanwhile, the influence of pressure-equalizing groove distribution and bearing characteristics was analyzed.
