ABSTRACT

The static induction transistor is a kind of vertical structure channel device similar to junction type field eect transistor, with the advantages of high speed, high voltage, high power, low distortion and low loss, etc. In addition, SIT has the following advantages: first, SIT has the excellent exponential function characteristics which are better than all devices of the vacuum tube to semiconductor in the same era. It has low noise and it can zoom at very high frequencies. Second, another feature of SIT is further reducing waveform distortion (Li et al. 2008, Lv 2009). Therefore, SIT has been used for the final output part of the radio broadcast. SIT is widely used in various fields, such as high-power electric equipment used in high frequency induction heating, the radio transmitter in high frequency applications, etc.
