Compared with the sol-gel method, hydrothermal method, and low temperature solid phase synthesis method and so on, liquid phase co precipitation method for the preparation of Manganese Dioxide (MnO2) has the advantages of simple technique, high yield, simple device, so it is more suitable for industrial production. Liquid phase co precipitation method refers to the aqueous solution of metal salts (generally use the Potassium Permanganate), under certain condition, the reducing agent and metal cations (generally using manganese sulfate, manganese chloride, manganese acetate) reaction, to obtain precipitate powder. The basic steps are: two kinds of metal salt solution with a certain concentration, adjustment to the appropriate pH value, filtering under intensive stirring reaction after a few hours, and the resulting dry, reoccupy agate mortar full grinding, required sample can be obtained. Research shows that, with this kind of manganese dioxide powder as an active material is made into electrode of super capacitor, which has excellent electrochemical performance.
