ABSTRACT

For the past few years, with the development of power grid construction in China, domestic design and manufacture technology of electric conductor developed rapidly and several kinds of new type energy-saving conductor [1-5] have been designed. As one part of the research on the new type energysaving conductor, the stress in overhead transmission conductor is very complex. The bending of the conductor will make the stress between single wires more complex. As a result, analysis on contact stress of energy-saving conductor with different structure becomes important to the application of energy-saving conductor. In this paper, medium

contact stress [8-9] of conductor on defined tension has been analyzed. And the microscopic analysis focuses on the contact stress between single wires. The distribution of contact pressure stress and friction shear stress has been analyzed with the finite element model. The conductor parameters are shown in Table 1 and Table 2.
