ABSTRACT

Since the SC-cylinder is commonly used, its features and dimensions vary according to different requirements. In order to be parameter-driven, the design methods manifested by the control features have to be adopted so as to establish the cylinder components with different dimensions and remain parameter-driven; therefore, the parametric design of the SC-cylinder in some products can be realised. The parametric design can mainly be divided into the following five steps:

1.2 Create a solid model: According to the requirements of dimension and shapes, create the three dimension solid model

1. Sever the parts and find out the feature size of each part: according to the function of the each part and the features for establishing the model, sever the parts. In order to make the established model to better reflect the basic features of the parts, the features should be typical and conceptual.
