ABSTRACT
A problem of a shearer cutting drive control is considered. A solution providing specific energy consumption minimization in the process of mining operations is proposed. Difficulties connected with feeding velocity controller development are substantiated. Advanced algorithm scheme to operate a shearer is demonstrated. Research results concerning simulation model to control feeding velocity of cutting drive are analyzed.
