ABSTRACT

For today’s world the solution of problems of energy saving, energy efficiency has become a matter of vital importance. One way of solving this problem is the use of different energy sources including alternative and renewable. It is very important to ensure the effectiveness of their operation. The core elements in the process of selection of multiple sources to improve energy efficiency of energy supply system are analyzed. This paper presents an approach to determine the optimal energy supply mix including centralized and decentralized energy sources for large-scale geotechnical and industrial objects. It is proposed an approach to select types and power of the sources in the energy system that provide energy effectiveness based on evolutionary algorithm of random search. Functions of generation and selection of solutions are formulated. The proposed algorithm provides a high degree of flexibility and could be used as well for heating and electricity supply systems to determine the optimal configuration. An example of application of proposed algorithm for an existing industrial enterprise is given.
