ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Taking the VIII seismic intensity zone of the July 22, 2013 Minxian earthquake as the study area, based on the interpreted earthquake induced-landslide data, with the factor maps of slope angle, slope aspect, drainage, lithology, and fault, landslide susceptibility in study area is evaluated by applying fuzzy logic model and Shannon’s entropy integrated information value model separately. Results show: (1) The high susceptibility area is mainly in the middle part of study area and the drainage buffer zone 0-50 m. The susceptibility level is higher when closer to drainage. (2) Compared the two models by ROC curve, the AUC values of two models are 0.8502 (Shannon’s entropy integrated information value model) and 0.7640 (Fuzzy Logic Model), which indicating a well performance of the first, and the modest performance of fuzzy logic model. (3) Shannon’s entropy integrated information value model is more suitable for disaster risk evaluation and emergency risk management.
