ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The optimization of the Post-Disaster Humanitarian Logistics (PD-HL) becomes increasingly important because of the extreme and sudden nature of disasters. This paper proposes a nonlinear, scenario-based, uncertainty optimization model to optimize the PD-HL. In consideration of human suffering in post-disaster environment, the model will take the deprivation cost into account. Therefore, its objective is to minimize the sum of logistics cost, setup cost, inventory cost and deprivation cost. The proposed model is in consideration of deprivation cost. Finally, the proposed model is applied to an illustrative example.
