ABSTRACT
QAR (Quick Access Recorder) exceedance refers to the item whose value reaches or exceeds the predetermined monitoring standard (AC, 2012). The key point of exceedance analysis is to figure out the extent to which the item exceeds the standard, to calculate the possible loss, and to decide whether to take control measures accordingly, which is named as the analysis of exceedance severity.
