ABSTRACT

India is a vast country, nay, it is something like a subcontinent. It’s geographical conditions are peculiar. On the Northern frontier, there is sprawling mountainous Himalayan range from where large rivers originate. There are mountain ranges close to East and West coasts running northsouth direction. Number of rivers originate from these ranges and meet the adjoining seas forming estuaries and creeks. Many large bridges have been constructed over them (Figure 1).
