ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The paper describes approach to the estimation of residual bearing capacity and reliability of bridges taking into account current structure technical state and conditions. The main idea is to use a set theory in monitoring data accumulation and a statistic processing and information theory (entropy) for estimation of the bridge reliability. The paper shows three cases of analysis with different amount of statistical data and describes the bridge service process subject to analysis of its technical state and reliability of using information theory and entropy. The proposed approach allows to describe mathematically complicated processes of analysis and estimation of technical bridges state in case of damages, defects and failures occurred during service stages and operational process.
