ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: In the course of the extension of German federal highway A6 Mannheim – Saarbrücken from 4 to 6 lanes the existing Bridge across the Waschmühl Valley near Kaiserslautern has to be maintained and widened. For that reason a new bridge had to be built next to the historic sandstone arch bridge, built between 1935 and 1937 by architect Paul Bonatz.
