ABSTRACT
Scalp dermoscopy (also known as trichoscopy) is the examination of the scalp with a dermatoscope. is traditionally consists of a magnier (typically 10×), a nonpolarized light source, a transparent plate, and a liquid medium between the instrument and the scalp. Modern dermatoscopes use polarized light instead of a liquid medium in order to eliminate skin surface reections.
