ABSTRACT
Palmprint recognition is a relatively new biometric technology and has become an active research topic in recent years [1]. A palmprint region has stable information like principal lines, wrinkles, ridges, and minutiae points compared with other technologies, such as iris, finger-print, face, voice [2]. In addition, palmprint-based identifiers are not only user friendly, but also use less data amount and can be operated using cheap electronic imaging device.
