ABSTRACT
The engineering cost consulting industry belongs to the tertiary industry, providing the construction industry of the secondary industry with specialized consulting services like construction project investment and engineering cost determination and control. In mainland China, the market-oriented engineering cost consulting service in mainland China dates from the early 1990s. The engineering cost consulting industry has played an irreplaceable role in the construction industry and construction project transaction over the two decades. So far, it has become one of the indispensable market entities of the construction industry and the construction project transaction market.
