ABSTRACT

The BLDCM makes a quick response; has a wide speed range, a larger starting torque, and many other advantages. It has wide application in various fields. The BLDCM speed control system, with time-varying, nonlinear, and strong coupling characteristics of the traditional PID control strategy, cannot achieve the system’s precision in terms of static and dynamic performance requirements. Built on the problems cited earlier, this paper presents an improved PSO algorithm PID control strategy. By introducing the shrinkage factor in the standard PSO algorithm for optimization of the parameters, the parameter optimization can improve the process of searching for speed. Meanwhile, in the stable operation of the process, when subjected to external disturbance, the system can quickly and smoothly return to a stable state. Through this control strategy simulation, the results show that in the case of load change, the kind of control strategy has fast response, tracking ability, high control accuracy, and excellent adaptability characteristics.
