As clean and renewable energies, wind and light get rapid development both at home and abroad. But the speed of development is severely impeded due to the intermittent nature. At present, more and more living examples are proving that energy storage is an important solution to this problem [1]. However, current energy storage is expensive and the problem of energy storage capacity allocation has become a hot topic today. Aiming at the minimum economic cost or the optimal technical indicators, the existing optimization method of energy storage capacity establishes corresponding model and objective function to obtain conclusive results with a certain algorithm. In this paper, based on the current mainstream optimization method of energy storage capacity, the author carries out a study on relevant problems and conducts optimization calculation of energy storage capacity on a great deal of instance data. Then the author summarizes the law to acquire the capacity ratio relation between energy storage and intermittent DG and proposes a simple and practical energy capacity determination method based on this.
