Epidermal nevi and epidermal nevus syndromes

Epidermal nevi arise from postzygotic mutations in ectoderm-derived cell lines (except melanocytes), namely keratinocytes and cells forming adnexa. EN may be present alone without any associated abnormality or be a part of a syndrome.
