ABSTRACT

Vörner diseases were considered to be two different entities, with the Vörner form being characterized by epidermolysis, while the UnnaThost form did not show this feature. By reinvestigation of the family originally seen by Thost in 1880, the features of epidermolytic hyperkeratosis were found histologically, proving the identity of the palmoplantar keratoderma (PPK) of the Thost type with the PPK of the Vörner type).
