ABSTRACT

Although there are CF-specic GI conditions (meconium ileus [MI], distal intestinal obstruction syndrome [DIOS], brosing colonopathy), some GI conditions have particular features related to CF (malabsorption, gastroesophageal reux disease [GERD]), but most manifestations of CF GI disease share similarities in presentation and treatment with the non-CF population. e burden of GI disease in CF patients is substantial, but true prevalence data are oen lacking (Table 22.1).
