ABSTRACT

IOT is regarded as the third wave of world information industry following computer, Internet and mobile communication network, which has become a global research hotspot[3]. At present, concept for IOT that is generally accepted is shown as follows: connection among people, between people and object as well as among objects can be realized anytime and anywhere according to agreed protocol through radio frequency identification, infrared sensor, global positioning system, laser scanner and other information sensing device, thereby conducting information exchange and communication, and realizing intelligent identification, positioning, tracking, monitoring and management. IOT belongs to a vast network system. In the paper, characteristics of power consumption in universities are combined on the basis of IOT

technology[4]. Power consumption condition of air conditioning and high-power electric appliances in universities are systematically analyzed as a whole. A set of power saving electricity system suitable for universities is designed and developed, and the system is described in details.
