ABSTRACT

In wireless communication networks in which signals are distributed to users with an antenna over a wide span of area, security is an issue of importance. There is every possibility of the signal being intercepted by an eavesdropper and of jammed by a malicious intruder. Furthermore, the advent of the quantum computer [Landahl2003] with the ability of massive parallelism has been a threat to conventional cryptosystems. Such increasing demands for protecting wireless links against passive eavesdropping or active tampering has prompted researchers to devise new cryptosystems not merely relying on computational complexity.
