ABSTRACT

With the expanding demand, TCP/IP system has so many problems to deal with. The problems mainly lie in three points. Firstly, network trac surges faster than the speed of the router performance, and the main source of its trac is data-intensive computing and multimedia file distribution. Secondly, there isn’t a systemic solution for security in current network, and it is basically in a passive response state, such as the expansion of network protocols, encryption, and authentication, and the increase in safety equipment. These measures will reduce the communication eciency and cause dicult comprehensive coordination. End to end communication model is designed to only provide a secure channel data, but it can’t achieve personalized service and security services. Thirdly, internet’s terminal morphology has changed a lot, with a significant increase in dynamic and a growing proportion in mobile terminal trac. Internet of things rapidly increases in the number of low smart terminals. IP address which represents the identity and characterization address, has no strong mobility support. For the above-mentioned issues, the new design of the Internet architecture is able to solve the problem fundamentally. In 2010, the United States established the NSF Future Internet Architecture (FIA) program. FIA has funded four projects which were committed to the future network structures in dierent researches and design directions, NDN, Mobility First, Nebula and XIA. NDN network’s model is content-oriented rather than traditionally host-oriented. It is a content-centric network. NDN uses the contents of keyword to locate the contents.
