ABSTRACT

Nowadays, with the development of the application in electricity information collection system, the state grid corporation of China requires that the successful rate for metering reading should be greater than 99%, which has raised high demand for the coverage, bandwidth, reliability and security of the communication networks for electricity information collection system. However, the current wireless communication technology for electricity information collection system, such as optical fiber communication, power line narrow-band carrier communication, general packet radio service/code division multiple access (GPRS/ CDMA) and wireless communication over 230MHz frequency band cannot meet the requirements of such a system.
