ABSTRACT
An example of rubber product failure process is demonstrated in the Figure 1 using most important highly dynamically loaded rubber part, which is tire, whereas the most affected part is the tire tread, because of its dynamic contact with the rough surface of the road or with the asperity of a hard terrain. Because of the tire rolling the affected zone is stressed cyclically due to high dynamic impact from the specific geometry respective sharpness of the contacted asperity. The dissipated energy increases in accordance with the increase of the asperity sharpness contact regions and the material forces as crack driving forces are applied. Thus the fracture processes with the micro-crack initiation of the tire tread have been started!
