ABSTRACT
When using these scalar fatigue life predictors and especially their maximum values it has to be kept in mind that for fatigue life under cyclic loads the load ratio (minimum load by maximum load) is also of importance (Mars & Fatemi 2004). A material experiencing the same maximum load but differing load ratios has different fatigue life.
