ABSTRACT

During the biophotolysis (Fig. 2.1), solar energy is converted into chemical energy (H2 energy) by photosynthetic algae and cyanobacteria with the

help of hydrogenase and nitrogenase enzymes [2, 4] (Table 2.1). Hydrogenase and nitrogenase enzymes are highly sensitive towards presence of oxygen; therefore constant removal of oxygen must be performed for higher yield of hydrogen production via Biophotolysis [6].
