Leadership and Scholarship: Conflict or Synergy?

There is a saying that as a professor, you work 16 hours a day, but you get to choose which 16 hours. This flexibility sounded good to me, and I became a professor and recommended my profession to many PhD students, both men and women, but especially women because of the flexibility.
