ABSTRACT
Too few statisticians think of themselves as leaders. Too few PEOPLE think of themselves as leaders. Perhaps this is because their notion of leadership does not reflect the full breadth of the term. Maybe they think only “bosses” are leaders. Or perhaps they simply do not give themselves credit for what they do. Whatever the reason, the result is lost opportunity. The opportunity loss is not just personal. Organizations and even whole professions may languish for lack of leadership.
