ABSTRACT

Taiwan Tea is an important economical crop for Taiwan’s economy. The tea package (Fig. 1) is a key factor for selling the tea. To design an attractive Taiwan Tea package, a package designer has to understand the consumer’s preference and view of the package. However, the consumer’s preferences are usually implicit and vague, and require clarifications through self-exploration, or through the interaction between the customer and the designer. This is mainly because personal taste and the design styles are often implicit, not easy to describe, and difficult to match. To help a package designer more efficiently carry out a tea package form which can attract consumers, it is necessary to understand consumer-preferred patterns of Taiwan Tea package form.
