ABSTRACT

The BST Ti-64 sheets were obtained by subjecting the as-received MA Ti-64 sheets to solution treatment at 1000°C and 0.76 × 10−4 Pa for 30 min, then furnace cooled to Room Temperature (RT) in the vacuum. Chemical analysis result of the as-received sheets was listed in Table 1. The specimens were machined to be 40 × 14 × 1 mm3, abraded with SiC sand paper (from grit 220 to grit 1000) and then lapped with alumina powder to minimize the interference of surface oxides in hydrogen absorption. The surface roughness of specimens measured by stylus profilometer (MITUTOYO SV402) was listed in Table 2.
