ABSTRACT

It is widely believed that interactive exhibits produce more effective learning outcomes. However, questions remain concerning what visitors are able to learn during short visits to museums, and how they interact with, and benefit from, interactive exhibits. A questionnaire survey was used to (1) explore the views and attitudes of weekend family visitors to the Science Center at the National Museum of Natural Science in Taiwan, (2) better understand the effectiveness and shortcomings of the museum’s exhibits, and (3) provide a reference for planning exhibits at Science, or other related, museums.
