The influence of visual programming learning on logical thinking and reasoning ability for the sixth grade students in elementary school

The logical thinking and reasoning ability means the ability to develop solutions to problems through proper logical deduction that uses one or several premises, contemplation at all levels, analysis and inference (Spitz 1979, Roadrangka 1991, Hsieh 2009). In the process of learning programming, many parts also require the use of deduction or induction. Whether such use can enhance the logical thinking and reasoning ability in children is the main discussion in this study.
