ABSTRACT
The renewal design method contributes several advantages over the woven structure for teaching and designing. First, by three steps, we can deconstruct the design method and simplify the processes. Second, we can narrow down the patterns design scales to define the motifs margin. Third, processing the design thinking not only makes the sophisticated woven design more efficient but also can be applied to any motifs under the fourteen harnesses design. The proposed method enables lampas, the multi-layered structures, to be applied easily in the textiles design. This study discloses it is possible to inspire textile designers to create through both logical and aesthetic thinking.
